Why equine assisted therapy?
At Northern Rivers Equine Therapy, we invite our horses into the therapeutic relationship as our co-therapists. Horses are authentic, sentient beings that offer accepting and non-judgemental connections. Harnessing a horses remarkable ability to tune into a human’s nervous system, providing instant bio-feedback that can support clients to bring awareness to unsupportive patterns, providing an opportunity for clients to develop self-awareness, personal growth, and experience healing through connection.
The scientific evidence surrounding equine assisted therapy and its ability to serve diverse client populations is continuously emerging, showing increasing results in addressing a broad range of personal and mental health challenges.
